Finding Time vs. Making Time

Do you have time to read this?

If you read this post, you are making time to do so.

I am no time management expert, but it is a pet peeve of mine when people make excuses like, "I'd love to do that but I don't have time" or "I know I should but I can't find the time."

We all make choices with how we spend our time. Time does not just fall into people's laps. It is not sitting there waiting to be found. Time will pass whether or not you are using it intentionally. Everyone has the same 24 hours to work with, albeit different family, work and social responsibilities to juggle.

Don't wait for things to just happen. If you would truly like to do something and it is important enough, then make the time to do it. You make the time.

Maggie,

It was fun to check your blog tonight and see updates! I understand the break from blogging. It is definitely harder to find the time when that second baby is here. Thanks for inspiring me to start running again. A half marathon is my goal too. Hope it goes well for you in November. I just need to schedule in time to run with the decreasing hours of daylight we have.

Take care,
Lana

Lana,
For a while I thought about quitting blogging completely since I just did not prioritize it. But I think it is fun, so I want to keep at it.

Awesome on the running. That is so cool. What half marathon do you think you will do? I have never been super athletic, so this is all new for me. I know what you mean about the daylight. I work 1 day a week at a gym, so I can use the gym childcare for free. I am trying to utilize it more to free up evening time those days. =)
