Isaac is starting to talk more. He says "mama," "dada," "na-na" (for Noah), "no," and "two." It cracks me up that our #2 child knows the word "two" out of so many other words he could say!! The last time we went to the library he started saying "choo choo" at the train table. I can't get him to do any sign language signs, though we still try more, please, all done and milk. He used to sign "milk" but doesn't sign anything now.
Isaac is a good eater, and he does very well with his whole milk and sippy cups. We finished the bottles completely by 12 1/2 or 13 months. He eats a lot of fruit, whole grains, beans, vegetables and some meat. Isaac still takes everything out of his mouth to look at it before he puts it back in and actually swallows it. He's not a big fan of new textures, and he absolutely hates pureed foods. In fact, we quit giving him pureed foods months ago as he simply would not eat them anymore!
Don't let the cuteness fool you, because Isaac is full of trouble. He is very much getting in to everything. He's lately been found climbing on the countertops, stark naked (stripping off his own diapers already, oh my!), and eating chalk. He loves dumping my purse and the diaper bag, throwing pots and pans on the floor, climbing onto furniture (and falling), playing in the toilet (GASP!), and eating old cheerios and other ickyness off the floor. I'm telling you, he is the number one reason I sweep the floor 1-3 times per day! He is probably also the reason I find the occasional gray hair on my own head!
